Monsoon Memories

These are the last days of this summer, perhaps a good time to have some memories about monsoon.

Rain always came in the first week of june during my childhood days.It was like a song for me which I loved to hear more and more.
Day and night,it will continue as if it's never going to stop.I love recollecting the sound of those water drops falling from big trees to the plantain leaves when the rain stops for sometime in the night.I could precisely hear it,because there won't be any other sounds then.

I always loved to catch the Ice cubes falling with rain.We used to call it as a fruit. It is just an ice cube ,but we loved being in rain for that much time.

'sshhhhh' sound of rain is so mind blowing to hear and we were not bored of it even after hear it for 3 months continuously.

The only reason because of which I hate rain was that we always used to miss our PT session. We couldn't play because of rain. But that was when we were at the school. We had some restrictions. But in college I always loved to play football in rain.I don't know how to play it,but still running between the posts in the background of rain was very pleasing to mind and body.Every time when we try to kick we will fall down and so it's very funny too.

We have 2 or 3 rainy seasons, but monsoon is so special that it is not accompanied by lightning and thunder.Monsoon gives a feel of world with no osamas and prabhakarans compared to other rainy seasons.

Then I remember my days in monsoon with half wet newspapers and hot tea.I always used to read hot news in cool mornings.May be the mornings which I would never like to forget.

Our first semester exams were in the month of june and we had a concern as to whether we will be able to wake up and study because rain is a sweet song that aids in sleeping.Fortunately exams were at 2 pm

So looking back, Monsoons were so thrilling---those fruit,Music and some silly concerns.
