Days are going fast now.Internet can be such a good tool for time passing that I am not even able to read the newspapers.Last month I was not involved in Internet that much and it all happened when I got into the chatroom of Kerala community.That was on september 1.I got so many friends there and you never know how fast the time is going.Some very interesting topics,posts and people are there.Now I am in touch with malayalis all around the world.They are telling their experiences of celebrating onam there.About their experiences of celebrating onam with their neighbours who hails from different countries.Surely Internet has made this world a Global village.
somebody has told before "you feel you are not alone, only when you are alone".I think he said that about reading.But it is equally applicable to Internet also.Internet is such a sophisticated medium of communication that a group can be formed by people sitting in different countries.Quite literally,world is at our fingertips now.
But one thing about chatting is that,we are speaking without emotions.There is always a possibility of being taken out of context in Instant message chatting.simileys can be of good help but still its a possibility.
Fake profiles are another area of concern and its better not too involved in online relationships.You can give and take informations outside of closer circle of personal data.Even with that restriction online relationships can be fruitful.
People like me are not utilising the possibilities and seing it as a medium of chatting only.We should explore the infinite possibilities and put them to use and surely there is a lack of awareness among us about how to use it productively.
