F-5 cricket...our version of modern cricket..

In our college, one day evening, infront of 'B-block' of Men's hostel was born the most modern version of cricket, the F-5 cricket. It is a miniature version of today's T-20 cricket. In order to make that possible we reduced not only the number of overs but a lot of other things.

Description

1.Its five overs per side obviously.

2.one person can bowl a maximum of 2 overs and others only one.

3.There is no leg side in this cricket!!!!!

4.no sixes,no running.
mode of run scoring
please look at the figure and know the locations of alphabets.

A.means,if we hit the ball beyond a boundary in the leg side in air you will be out.

B.If you hit the ball staright along the ground you get 4 runs,if you hit six ,you are out.

C.if you hit the ball along the ground to the wall you will get a single and if it hits the wall on the full you are out.

D.if you hit the ball in the direction of bike along the ground and strikes the wall adjacent to the bike you can get 4 runs and if you hit six you are out.

Stars of this form of game at present (stars because nobody other than us play..:))

1.myself....specialist of carrom ball....:)..(veruthe oru aashvasathinu)

2.Anoop M k....tactical bowling...and powerful stroke play...( chumma..avane onnu sugippikkan)

3.Sumeshraj...off spin and legspin with bending of elbow more than that is allowed by ICC..(in short, kai madakki)

4Sreerag M S ....even though pitch is less than 12 yards he has a run up of 22 yards and an 'effective' pace bowler

5.Anoop N....90 degree turning leg spin..very difficult..not for the batsmen but 4 the fielders (to pick the ball from the boundary)

6.Roshan Sam Alex..also a leg spinner...a new comer on observation..if he is playing well he has to be send back away from us...we should not spoil his future

7.Sooraj....noted by his unorthodox way of playing shots...can make the feeling that we are playing some game other than cricket

8.Madhu...also a leg spinner...turns only once in 14 days and when it turns and it is hit away for 4 runs..sorry madhu..I have to write the truth ..

9.Sujeesh...He is an International player..doesnt like playing this form..dont have too much matches under his belt

10.Stallon...he likes bowling bouncers..ie the one which bounces off the pitch to a good 'hieght'.

11.Sibin....he is the opening batsman of the team he playes..he plays like sehwag i e scores boundaries only and doesnt mind hitting singles.

12.vineet(Andu)-Another international player.. captain of our class team....but he is the leading scorer of ducks among us...he is struggling in this form of the game

13.Umesh-a 'technically correct 'batsman...but he doesnt like troubling the scorers..but when he bowls he does trouble them..perhaps the slowest bowler in our class.

14.Bejoy..a powerful hitter and he finds time to play with us from his jobs an NBA player and a coach of women team

15.Gopalan(vineeth)..he is a mendis type bowler..batsman having no clue whatsoever

In that picture above you can see a large number of windows..please dont think that thay have glasses!!!

Through F-5 cricket we are envisioning a Glassless world...

the stumps u hav shown in the pic is banned in F5 cricket.I(F5)CC board allows the use of only stumps in the form of slender "marakkambukal".
abt sumo: actually his hands never some straight. so it is wrong to say that it is bent more than allowed limits.
abt madhu: very funny :-)

yes, F5 cricket is only for "strike" bowlers-bowlers with good aim. :)
